British Singing Sensation

This morning when I woke up, I went to go eat a bowl of cereal for breakfast. My dad walks into the kitchen and wants me to watch this video on You Tube. It was of Susan Boyle on American Idol. This video has already had over one-million views. This lady teaches us all a very good lesson of how we should never judge a book by its cover. When she walked on stage, everyone rolled their eyes and made fun of her. Simon was ripping on her so bad because she wanted to be a singer. This lady is forty-seven years old and she's everyone thinks she is a fluke. But within the first few notes of her song everyone in the crowd was on their feet because they could not believe what they were hearing, or seeing! I thought that this had to be one of the best moments of having your back against the wall and then coming out and shocking the world. It was truly amazing. If you have the chance, watch the video on You Tube. You won't believe what you are seeing.

Last weekend was the NBA All Star weekend and it was very entertaining. The rookies versus sophomore game was great with Durant scoring 47 points to break the scoring record for that game. A rookie wins the three-point shoot-out and Derek Rose took the Point Guard Skills Challenge. The Slam Dunk Contest was even better than last years! They always come up with crazy new dunks. They All-star game was fun with Shaq and Kobe taking the MVP award. This year's All-star weekend was great and it gets better every year.

SNOW!SNOW!SNOW!

I can't believe we got all of this snow! I know that for some people this snow storm was terrible and some were without power, but it was like a second winter break for me! I did not have any basketball practice to worry about, just time to relax and be lazy around the house. I love snow but I hope we do not have to miss anymore days of school. If there is any way the state can waiver a few of these days of school we missed I hope they do. I would hate being in school until June!
